Tax for SDGs Roster of Experts
A Global Call for Applications
APPLY BY LATEST ON 30 SEPTEMBER 2022
Taxes are the key funding source for investments in achieving the SDGs. The right tax policy can motivate behaviours that bring about desired outcomes related to climate, nature, health and well-being, governance, and investment. Taxes foster a stronger social contract between citizens and the state and are crucial to addressing gender-based economic inequality.
To support developing countries in strengthening their tax systems and incorporating a tax for SDGs lens in their public finance management, the UNDP Tax for SDGs Initiative is building a roster of competent tax and fiscal policy experts. This roster is part of the SDG Finance Roster and will be established within the Global Policy Network Experts Roster for Rapid Response (GPN ExpRes Roster), a recruitment and deployment mechanism that maintains pre-vetted consultants on a roster and offers the ability to contract them quickly for support.
Successful applicants will join the UNDP Roster of Tax for SDGs Experts and be contacted based on arising needs.
The rostered experts can be deployed on-demand as individual contractors for short-term assignments on a national, regional and international level. Specific terms of reference with assignment-specific responsibilities and deliverables will be developed for each assignment.
